Maroma? s multi-media theater features a state-of-the-art sound and projection system with over 380 movies to choose from.

Increasing the value of your jet ski for sale

After you have bought your Jet Ski, you probably would think why would you sell them after some time. Well, the fact is, no matter how much you dearly love your jet ski, there will come a time that you will sell them from one reason or another. And when that time comes, you should get your PWC ready so that you will get paid with a price you want.

Whether you plan to sell your jet ski online or offline, one thing is for sure; your jet ski must be in perfect condition inside and out to increase its market value.

Just like selling used cars, you should project a well-maintained jet ski. And keeping it well-maintained starts from the moment you purchase your jet ski. It doesn’t matter if you bought a used or a brand new jet ski. What matters is that once you start using your jet ski, you should remember to keep it in perfect condition. And when the time comes when you have to sell your jet ski, you will have lesser problem dealing with scratches, corrosions, and other value degrading matters.

After using it, make sure that you dry its entire body. Do not let any salt water to penetrate inside (although most jet skis are sealed and with components that are rustproof).

Proper storage is the most important thing you must know if you want to have a great looking jet ski. Since it will stay most of the time in your garage, your jet ski must be kept in a dry place. Keep it covered. Avoid exposing it to rain and sunlight. As much as possible clean it regularly even if it is covered and not in use.

If it happens to have minor scratches, you can buy rubbing compounds that can effectively remove these. Spending little on these would increase the value of your jet ski. In case of corrosion and dents, there are shops that can remove them without costing you so much. Again, a little spending would increase the “buyability” of your jet ski.

All these are sure guarantee that you can sell your jet ski at a higher price. And oh, you must remember that in order for you to get a better value out of your jet ski, you must keep the engine maintained. It must not only look good, it should also run excellently.

Confessions of a lapsed islamist

Is Islamism, Islam ?

I define Islamism as the twentieth century political movement to instill “Islamic” governments in Muslim countries. The intellectual architects of this movement were Sayyid Qutb, Maududi, Ayatollah Khomeini and Hassan al-Turabi, amongst others. They have formed the political and governance template for movements in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Palestine, Somali, Sudan and Pakistan. The Islamist movements begin with a small, religiously purified elite of the wider group of believers that are welded into a group that form the nucleus for political and community action. It is interesting to observe that this type of Qutb Islamism is now employed as a modus operandi for Christian groups who wish to transform their community support into political power. The RNC’s flirtation with the evangelicals has parallels with Ikhwan’s links to the Nasserites, right down to the betrayal, (but not the executions).

Islam is of course what we all understand it to be, the religious belief and codified ritual practice contained in the Quran and Prophetic (PBUH) Sunnah. It is the basis of what a Muslim does.

Although there is wide religious diversity amongst the proponents of Islamism there is surprising unity in political method and public governance. Khomeni for example is a “twelver shia”, Maududi founded the Jammat e Islami and Qutb was the spiritual source for movements as including the Muslim Brotherhood at one end and Al Qaida at the other. There are fundamental theological differences between these movements, but the chronology of their rise, the method of their political action and the similarities of their governance suggest that they are surprising similarities.

Islamist governments are one party structures with weak or non-existent alternative voices. Although they reach power via the ballot box they are disdainful of the transformative power of public participation in community governance. They also shun transparency, media freedom and gradualism. The governments have strong social justice commitments and high standards of personal public official accountability, although over time these are eroded by the corruption of unchecked political power. There is always a concentration of power amongst the spiritual elite, such as the Iranian the revolutionary guardian council.

Islamist governments concentrate disproportionately on the outward manifestations of Islamic observance, women’s dress, alcohol consumption, prostitution, etc. They seem less willing to understand or rectify other more important systems of government. There is no standard Islamist economic policy, but there are strong trends to a determinist economic model, although this is widely recognized as a failed model, and is ironically profoundly “un-Islamic”.

Although Islamist governments are authoritarian and keen to introduce what they deem to be “Sharia” law they are surprisingly devoid of ethic of the rule of such law, the narrow scope of legislation to certain aspects of criminal law (the Hudud), and they do not tolerate a judiciary independent of the executive. The fidelity toward the absolute rule of law or to governance based on unchanging set of legal principles is conspicuously lacking. The arbitrary nature of legal rulings itself becomes an obstacle to social stability and economic progress

Islamist governments appear to have more in common with Marxist regimes of the early and middle part of the twentieth century than with the Prophetic (PBUH) model of governance in Medinat ul Nabi in the 6th century. Their development along this abbherent path reflects the very low level of education amongst Islamists group and their unwillingness to read non-Muslim scholars and understand that this type of governance has been tried and has failed. Islamist have no understanding of Islamic finance that are rarely developed beyond rudimentary systems, nor do they understand the gradualism that is required to move societies. Islamist regimes are revolutionary and radical. they seek to impose the will of the elite on the masses without persuasion, trust and transparency. Islamist governments confuse their own survival with that of Islam, which forms the basis for their missionary zeal, resembling most closely that of Lenin’s October revolutionaries.

Youssef Choueiri details the profound similarities between the the 19th century French Nobel prize winner Alexis Carrel and the thesis of Sayyid Qutb. he goes on to assert:

"What Qutb fails to inform his vanguard, however, is that the code of conduct he subsequently elaborated in his ‘commentary’ on the Koran matches that of Carrel much more than Muhammad’s own Traditions.’ The result is not an indigenous form of governance, but ‘a Third World version of Fascism." (Courtesy of Sheikh Abdul Hakim Murad)

This is not to say that Islamism is synonymous with fascism, which clearly it is not. Nor is it to say that all Islamic thinkers are identical, they are not. Maududi’s Jaamat e Islami was enthusiastically democratic and non violent. The critique of it is different to that of Sayyid Qutb. Qutb’s later writings, especially from prison have an authoritarian and revolutionary flavor that is not authentically Islamic. The purported template for radical Islamists such as Qutb, and the source of his Islamic authenticity is their alleged fidelity to the method of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This assertion is false and they must be challenged on it.

In pre-Islamic Arabia, there was no government, no government structures and only the most rudimentary tribal understandings. Even during this period, and with the profound difference in understanding, the Prophet (PBUH) did not impose his will upon Medina, although the citizens had invited him to do so. Rather his community power, grew gradually with increasing community support. Political support lagged behind widespread community support in Medina: Abi Salul was allowed to sit in the presence of the Prophet (PBUH) and mock him without fear, although the Prophet enjoyed widespread community support and was de-facto ruler of Medina. He did not impose Islamic rules on other faith communities, but rather treated them generously often at the expense of strict justice to Muslims. As Islam spread the Muslim rulers were known for their minimalist intervention in local government, economics and trade.

The Islamic law was a welcome relief from the arbitrary negotiated justice of tribal law and allowed guarantee of property rights and was administered by an independent impartial judiciary, which is they very opposite of the current situation. The Islamist doctrine is disturbingly messianic, something that is un-Islamic. If one wishes to preach, it is better to actually preach the worship of God, rather than preach a totalitarianism that you may believe will in the future be congenial to the worship of God, i. e. the worship of God rather than the worship of Islamism.

Groups such as Hizb ut Tahrir take this absurdity to its logical limit when they claim that their vision of Islamist government is actually a secular system of rules that will produce a Utopian society. They therefore are not interested in preaching this worship of God, but rather the adherence to a set of political ideals which are claimed to be central to the Islamic ideals of government. These assertions are false. Islam needs to be lived first before it is legislated. Institutionalizing piety is itself problematic, as we are currently discovering.

The first generation of Islamists who are now entering the last years of their lives are full of regrets. In private conversations they admit that the errors they made were to rush into political power and compromise or distort religious principles for short term political gain. They also admit that in formulating their lofty goals they were almost childlike in their naivetй. One recurring regret is prominient, moving from a community based religious movement to a political party has been a tragedy for the former. Once it entered politics, the growth in the Islamist support stopped, then gradually declined. If one were primarily committed to the promotion of worship of Allah, this should be alarming.

As one who feels that the Muslim world will never truly be itself until Islam forms an integral part of its polity, I don’t wish to see a secular government. That model (e. g. Bathism in Iraq, Egypt and Syria) has been tried and failed. Nor has secular government given security to non-Muslim countries who have interests in the Muslim world, indeed it is regularly argued that totalitarian secular polity has been the germ that has fuelled Islamic radicalism. But the Islamist models that are on display today are excessively romantic, formulaic and shallow. Islamists need to turn down the temperature of their public religious fervor and demonstrate that they can govern a community.

Contemporary Islamism is in danger of losing its authenticity. Although it is currently in ascendancy it will not last long unless it reformulates itself without its Marxist baggage and studies non-Muslim thinkers who have already grappled with the idea of religion and society.

Aromatherapy new age fad or age-old remedy

Aromatherapy refers to the use of essential oils that have been extracted from plants, shrubs and trees. These essential oils can be used for a wide variety of purposes. They can be used to treat medical conditions or alleviate psychological ailments. Aromatherapy oils are used as cosmetics. Finally, aromatherapy can be used simply for pleasure, to help improve your mood or to reduce your stress. The essential oils of aromatherapy have the power to affect both your physical and mental state.

Aromatherapy has recently been labeled a New Age fad, but the practice of aromatherapy has a long history. The often negative use of the New Age label causes an unfortunate prejudice against a practice that has many potential benefits.

The effective use of aromatherapy requires considerable knowledge and expertise. The essential oils of aromatherapy can be applied in a wide variety of situations. They have been proven effective in treating both serious and minor ailments. Even when aromatherapy cannot provide a cure, it can improve an individual's mood.

We often practice aromatherapy on an everyday basis without realizing it. When we choose aromas, bath oils, and air fresheners, we usually choose based on what we like, or on how the fragrance makes us feel. The refreshing scent of a pine forest, the pleasurable aromas of herbs, or the many other daily experiences we have with the scents of plant-derived substances indicate that we are actually practicing and experiencing aromatherapy in many ways.

The practice of aromatherapy for treating ailments actually predates chemical-based medicine. The essential oils of aromatherapy have been used for hundreds of years in herbal medicine, disease prevention, and in religious and public ceremonies.

The proven benefits of plant-based therapies are being overlooked in favor of artificial substitutes. It's easy to forget that many commonly used pharmaceuticals were originally derived from plants. Many also doubt that something applied externally could possibly have an internal effect. But the answer to many of today's diseases has been with us from the beginning, stored in the plant life around us. Aromatherapy unlocks the power of these essential oils and applies it for our benefit.

Tips for uncovering customer hassles

Copyright 2006 Adele Sommers

Are you wrestling with cranky customers, low-vitality products, congested services, and an aching bottom line? You certainly don't need to. Why exactly does this occur?

One major reason is that consumers expect products and services to work exactly as advertised, in a confusion - and error-free manner. It's easy to understand why these expectations exist because we ourselves are consumers. If given a choice between something that's easy to use and functions correctly, and something that's not easy to use or doesn't function correctly, we'll pick the former every time.

When consumers aren't happy with the quality of their experiences, what will they do? Unless it's a catastrophic situation, will they contact you to tell you about it, so that you'll know how to correct the problem? Perhaps some will, to vent their frustrations about what they've been experiencing. But research shows that the vast majority will quietly take their business elsewhere, and you might not ever hear why. To help you put a stop to the silent exodus, this article suggests four ways to uncover the causes of "customer hassles."

First, Why Do Customer Hassles Occur?

You'd think that any company that provides a product or service would put itself in the shoes of its own customers, and thus provide the very best product or service possible. Unfortunately, that's not always the case, especially if there is not much competition in a certain market. Yet even when product and service providers have the very best of intentions, here's another pervasive problem...

Any products (such as tools, gadgets, or software systems) -- or even services (such as auto repair shops, telephone companies, or transportation businesses) -- can burden consumers by introducing complex requirements of their own.

Those requirements can include queuing time, waiting time, installing or upgrading something, setting things up, programming in some cases (think about your VCR), learning curves, maintenance, wrestling with bugs, troubleshooting, waiting on hold for customer support, and potentially much, much more.

These are all examples of customer headaches of various sizes. When these extra requirements begin adding up, no matter how "good" your product or service might be, hassles can negatively affect your customers' experiences with your offerings. These are just a few characteristics:

-- Hassles can range from something that seems relatively small and only mildly annoying all the way to making the product or service impossible to use for its intended purpose. They can drive customers crazy, or make them feel really angry or stupid.

-- In the worst cases, customer headaches can cause catastrophic ripple effects that affect wider and wider circles of people, circumstances, and/or operations.

-- No bargain-basement pricing can ever compensate for the worst hassles!

What's the Antidote?

In contrast, what would you want to see happen? You'd want to have headache-free offerings that attract loyal customers, right? Good! There's every reason why you would want that.

Customer retention research shows that once companies have loyal customers, the cost of keeping them is just one-fifth the cost of attracting new ones. Research also shows that companies can boost their bottom-line results up to 100% just from increasing customer loyalty by only 5%!

So to attract loyal customers, we certainly must remove headaches, and we should strive to create consistently pleasant experiences with all interactions customers have. The interactions can include visiting a Web site or storefront, asking for more information, purchasing something, receiving order shipments, interacting with the products or services themselves, using any training and documentation, contacting customer service, and so on. Note that an unpleasant experience anywhere along the way could destroy a customer's positive perceptions of all other interactions!

Tips for Uncovering Customer Headaches

So, let's discuss how you can reveal the sources of your customers' aggravations. Below are four tips for exposing this critical information:

1. Poll customers using Web, mail, or e-mail surveys, or support calls.

You might ask what your customers love and don't love about your products and services, and how they might suggest improving them. You could even consider expanding routine customer support calls by asking customers: "Is there anything you can think of that could enable our products or services to better assist you?" Customers may find it very refreshing to finally reveal their pet peeves.

2. Comb your technical support logs to locate hassles of every type.

What's really been bugging your customers or stopping them from getting something done? See which kinds of trends you can spot. For example, are people calling technical support mainly to get training on using the system? Are they having problems installing, setting up, or getting going? Are they reporting bugs? Are the instructions incomplete or confusing? Another way of looking at this is to ask why your system is not completely transparent in helping customers to accomplish their real goals.

3. Observe your customers using your products at their own facilities.

It may be a real eye-opener to watch your customers try to install, set up, learn, and troubleshoot your product without having someone guide them through every step. If you had intended your products to be self-explaining and easy to use, this could reveal several aspects in which they are not.

4. Prioritize your findings using the 80:20 rule.

Try to determine which 20% of the hassles (the "vital few") seem to be giving your customers 80% of the grief. Then, continuously work toward eliminating the heaviest hitters until you've removed everything down to the noise level. It's easier said than done, but in the long run, your customers will really appreciate it!

In conclusion, revealing and remedying annoying hassles can stem the exodus of cranky customers and help you begin building a base of "raving fans." Your customers deserve no less than the very best of experiences with every facet of your offerings.

Digital photography tips

Few families would consider leaving home for a vacation these days without reliable, high-quality digital imaging equipment-whether it's a camera or a camcorder.

Here are some tips from the experts at Canon to help you make the most of memorable vacation moments:

Always be prepared: Don't forget to bring backup camera batteries or memory cards so you'll never miss a shot.

Creativity is key: Sunsets and mountain ranges are always great backdrops for family pictures. By using your surroundings in interesting ways, you'll be able to create images featuring an array of natural color and light while showcasing your happy family.

Share the fun: Take turns and let others control the lens for a while. A camcorder such as the Canon DC40 DVD Camcorder is so easy to use that anyone in the family can take great video. The camcorder records direct to DVD, is compact and takes high-resolution, 4-Megapixel digital photos.

Strike a pose-No!: Candid shots of family members can capture their personalities much better than carefully orchestrated photographs.

Don't be afraid: Take your PowerShot SD600 Digital ELPH camera with you on a scuba diving adventure. The 6-Megapixel camera has a 16:9 widescreen mode for full-screen viewing on widescreen TVs and computer monitors, and is the right size for taking along on any deep-sea adventure.

Use the WPDC40 underwater camera case (to depths of 130 feet) to protect the camera and snap pictures in the surf.

Hello from abroad: Print and send photos before you even get home: The SELPHY CP510 photo printer is small enough to pack in your suitcase and lets you print pictures in under a minute. And the paper used for printing photos doubles as a postcard! How's that for multitasking?

Pack lightly: Hybrid digital products such as the PowerShot S3 IS let you capture still photographs and high-quality video. The 6-Megapixel camera has a 12x optical zoom lens, image stabilization technology for steady shots, a "movie snap" feature that lets you take still images while shooting movies, a widescreen mode for full-screen viewing and still leaves plenty of room for any souvenirs you might want to bring home.

Hybrid digital products can take photo stills and shoot movies without taking up too much space in your luggage.

Making summer reading fun and exciting

Asking most kids to pick up a book during July or August is like asking them to clean their room or eat their Brussels sprouts. Fortunately, there's a simple solution to the quandary of summer reading lists: Stock them with titles that are fun and challenging and encourage kids to look beyond a book's covers.

"A Treasure's Trove" (Treasure Trove, Inc.) by Michael Stadther is one such book to consider. A beautifully illustrated fairy tale suitable for children of all ages, it became a New York Times best-seller, captured the hearts and imaginations of children and families and, through clues hidden in its pages, inspired a nationwide treasure hunt. At the request of teachers and librarians, the author has read it to children at hundreds of schools throughout North America and at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.

The story, which appeals to both boys and girls, takes place in the Great Forest and tells a sweet (and sometimes sad) tale of friendship and greed, good and dark fairies and how love can overcome fear. There is plenty of action and suspense, plus beautiful fairies and romance. The book is all about family values, love and cooperation, loyalty and friendship. It teaches children the importance of saving the forests, about working together to accomplish their goals and that they need not be afraid of the dark.

"This book's value is truly in the words and excitement on the kids' faces," said Katie Mullins, a 3rd grade teacher at Degan Elementary School in Lewisville, Texas.

Now Available:

Free Teachers' Guide & Books

Because children quickly and easily gravitate to the book's characters and themes, teachers asked the author if he could provide additional "Treasure Trove" material for classroom use. In response, "A Treasure's Trove Teachers' Guide," developed in conjunction with a panel of leading educational advisors in the U. S., is now available for download at www. atreasurestrove. com/schools.

Intended as an enrichment tool, it is chock-full of puzzles and activities in such subject areas as reading comprehension, poetry, music composition, map reading and drawing, problem solving and critical thinking. The first 1,000 educators to register online for the new guide will receive a free copy of "A Treasure's Trove," "A Puzzle Book Companion" and the "Official Solution Book to A Treasure's Trove."

In September 2006, the book's sequel, "Secrets of the Alchemist Dar," will be released-this time accompanied by a worldwide treasure hunt. Once again, Stadther will visit schools to read the book to students in grades 3 and up. Teachers and principals interested in having the author visit their schools should sign up early by visiting www. atreasurestrove. com/schools.

"A Treasure's Trove" is available in hard - and softcover at major bookstores and Amazon. com.

Preventing hemorrhoids

Any type of strain put on the anus or anal area may cause hemorrhoids. Tiny veins surrounding the rectum become inflamed and a hemorrhoid is born. By reducing the strain put on the anus, we can reduce the possibility of getting hemorrhoids. There are a few basic things that you can do to alter your lifestyle slightly in order to reduce the risk of developing painful hemorrhoids.

Change your diet to include foods that are high in fiber. Fibrous foods create normal stools that are able pass from the body easily. Passing stool easily creates less strain on the anal muscles and therefore reduces the risk of hemorrhoids.

Some foods that are high in fiber include: grains, foods high in bran, fruits and vegetables.

Processed foods may be convenient but they also cause the stool to harden due to their lack of fiber. These foods will increase your risk of hemorrhoids so they should be avoided.

If you feel that increasing the amount of fiber in your diet is difficult by just changing your diet, there are fiber products available over the counter at your local pharmacy that will soften stool. These products usually come in powder or pill form. If you are unsure which type would be best for you, contact your physician or pharmacist for medical advice.

In addition to adding fiber rich foods to your diet, you should also increase your water intake. The rule of thumb is to drink 8-8oz. Glasses of water per day. Water will loosen your stools again causing less strain on the anal muscles and decreasing your risk of painful hemorrhoids.

Change your toilet habits. Do not wait until you feel like you really have to go. Putting off going to the bathroom will give your stool time to harden while waiting in your intestines to be expelled. Hard stool causes increased pushing which in turn causes undo stress to the anus which increases your risk of developing hemorrhoids.

The bathroom may be the only alone time that you can get. However, reading or staying on the toilet for longer periods then needed to take care of business can lead to the development of hemorrhoids.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The French invented the bidet for a reason.

A clean anal area decreases the chances of developing hemorrhoids. Although cleaning with toilet paper alone is fine, there are now flushable wipes on the market that will guarantee a clean anus. They are safe to flush and safe to use in your most sensitive areas.

Exercise is just good for you in general. It seems that everything can be prevented by adding a little exercise to our lives.

It is just common sense that if we are not exercising or leading an active lifestyle, then we are sitting or leading a sedentary lifestyle. Long periods of sitting cause strain to the anus. As we know by now strain put on the anal muscles is what causes hemorrhoids to develop.

A rule of thumb to follow is that you should stand and walk around for at least 5 minutes every hour. Why that isn’t even real sweat causing exercise. That’s a simple trip to the kitchen for a glass of water!

In addition to not sitting for long periods of time, exercising regularly increases blood flow through the veins. Increased blood flow through the veins will reduce pressure on the veins surrounding the anus and therefore reduce constipation.

Why is it useful to change jobs

Changing jobs is quite natural for many people nowadays. Specialists kept on switching companies looking for a better place to work at. But their functional responsibilities still remain the same. However, such rotation without the change of your occupation is not 100% useful. Psychological research has showed that a person will have more chances to succeed if he changes his vocation once 5 – 7 years. Thus he will acquire new knowledge and experience and he will learn how to deal with new unusual tasks.

Even if you have created a dynamic plan for developing your career from a clerk to a senior manager in a particular company new responsibilities don’t substitute old ones, but are just added to the existing duties. In other words, you don’t change your activity – but the sphere of your responsibility becomes wider. In fact, a person keeps on working in the same professional area. However paradoxical it may be, but after a few years since submitting your sales resume you are more likely to lose your sales competence than to gain or improve it. You get tired of routine work; you fulfill your duties mechanically with no zest and enthusiasm. That is why psychologists suggest changing the content of the work not its place. Human resource managers still make the same mistake: they are looking for the applicants with at least a year – relevant experience. They don’t consider retrained specialists or those who have no experience in the pertinent area. They don’t take into account that inexperienced candidates have considerable advantages over the experts: they have no professional stamps/ clichйs, they are ready to improve themselves, and they have sincere interest for the new job and others.

Today more and more people are changing their specialty. Social psychology defines this phenomenon as professional reorientation. Mostly it applies to young people. Older people have less flexible thinking – their professional life is influenced by prevalent stereotypes and they have too high demands for themselves. People older 35 are afraid of taking risks. Even if his life-time dream was to become an executive of car manufacturing company, he won’t set himself to writing a resume. The idea of cardinal retraining seems senseless and even careless to older people. Most of them can neither afford no do they want to spend their time and money for obtaining a second education. Two categories make an exception of this statement. They are housewives, who have adult children and now are free to take up their career. Another category is retired servicemen. Both groups come across a lot of objective and psychological difficulties. Psychologists admit that only few people with a specific temperament are capable of abrupt changing their professional life. The ability to take reasonable risk in your professional life - is the major factor of success. And on the contrary – fear of changes or failure inhibit your success. You will always have a well – paid job if you learn to regard studies and job changing as a natural component of your working life. A well – known American businessman, the author of several books on business psychology wrote: “It is not worth sticking to your primary vocation for being rewarded a golden watch when you are retired.” Think, may be it is time for you to stop sending your teacher resume from one school to another and consider better choices.

Changing your eating habits

Because all of us have been brought up eating junk food, well most of us, it is not easy to change our eating habits. Your eating habits have developed since childhood based on what your mothers or fathers cooked and what your psychological make-up was during that time.

The foods you eat and crave help keep pass trauma and present anxiety in check. Food helps make you feel good when you start to feel bad. Eating is a natural defense mechanism that the brain-body uses to keep you from going crazy.

So, you see, it is very difficult to change our eating habits. When we do, we start to feel bad. We start to feel uncomfortable, we feel pain, we have withdrawal symptoms, and we may feel sick. Is it any wonder that any of us ever succeed in changing our eating habits?

I consider every thing that has been packaged to be junk food. There are a few exception and you need to read ingredient labels carefully. Very few food manufacturers and even restaurants prepare food with your health in mind. Of course, they want to satisfy you, but they don't use foods that are in your best interest.

Most people eat junk food 85% of the time and then eat good food the other 15%. It should be the reverse of this - eat good food 85% and junk food 15% of the time.

To have better health, here are some foods to stop eating. Eliminate these foods over the next two to three weeks.

· Milk (non-fat or no-fat also) - is a mucus and acid forming food. Milk creates mucus in the body and makes the lymph liquid (we will talk about lymph later) in your body acidic, which attracts parasites and other pathogens. (In the place of milk almond milk or goats milk)

Cancer thrives in a body that is acidic.

o Bread - white bread is also acid and mucus forming. It is also more difficult to pass through the colon and gives rise to constipation.

Sugar the #1 food additive. Sugar is in most of all the products that you buy.

· Sodas (regular or diet)- are extremely high in sugar or artificial sugar - 7 teaspoons per can. Most people drink over 35 gallons per year. Sugar is a body poison and leads to many disease - diabetes, obesity, tooth decay and osteoarthritis and so on.

o Sugar, also, depletes your B-vitamins and calcium and magnesium from your bones and teeth.

o In addition, since sodas are in aluminum cans, aluminum can go into the soda because most sodas contain phosphoric acid. Aluminum has been associated with senility and Alzheimer disease.

o Calcium is also leached from your body to neutralize the phosphoric acid. (Its healthier to drink juices of all kinds)

There is just no way around it. Sodas suck health right out of your body.

· Regular salt (NaCl) - excessive salt intake is related to high blood pressure, edema, and imbalances in the minerals in your lymph liquid. Sodium, Na, in salt attracts water so the more sodium you eat that more water your body will hold. (Use sea salt, it has 25% less sodium, use low salt soy sauce, and herbs to flavor your food)

o Most people eat too much salt - over 10,000 milligrams per day. We only need around 200-300 mg per day.

o Excess salt is also in involved with kidney problems, cardiovascular disease, stomach cancer, and excess sensitive to stress.

o Get your Sodium from eating vegetables that are high in sodium. When you get your salt from vegetables it is organic salt, which does not have the same effect in your body as inorganic salt from a shaker. You need a lot of organic salt or Na in your body. Your stomach is a Na organ. It needs organic salt, Na, to keep its lining from being eaten by the hydrochloric acid in your stomach - an ulcer.

o Foods high in organic sodium are apples, apricots, asparagus, greens, red cabbage, carrots, celery, dulse, egg yolks, figs, fish, raisins, prunes, and lentils.

For the next two weeks try adding the following foods to your eating habits.

· lecithin - is 30-40% choline, which is used throughout your body. This is why you want to include it in your diet.

o choline is one of the main chemicals in our cell membrane.

o It is used in our brains to create the neurotransmitter acytlcholine, which is required for thinking and memory. Consider lecithin brain food.

o It is used by the liver, which helps to prevent a fatty liver. A fatty liver prevents you from losing weight around your belly.

o it helps to break up fats into tiny goblets so that they are easily digestible and will reduce your cholesterol.

o it helps to keep cholesterol from clinging to your artery walls.

· flax seed oil - is an essential oil, omega 3. This means your body does not make it and it is necessary for you to eat it so that you can live without illness or pain.

o it helps to detoxify the liver

o it stimulates the production of bile. Remember that bile helps to breakdown fat so that the liver can better metabolize it.

o stimulates the body to burn fat.

o apple juice and apples - are high in vitamin A, in Potassium and have other minerals that strengthen the blood. They contain malic and tartaric acids, which keep the liver healthy and promote good digestion. Apples help you to lose weight by providing fiber and keeping you regular.

o fiber - you need 30-35 grams of fiber every day. Most people only get up to 10-15 grams. Fiber is one foods that reduce your transient time in the colon. Fiber helps to keep your colon clean, reduce cholesterol, remove toxins from your body and eliminate constipation.

There you have it. If you can accomplish these changes in one year, you will notice a big difference in the way you feel and the health that you have.

Problematic Plastic Money

Credit cards are no more a luxury, they are almost a necessity. So, you would imagine a lot of people going for credit cards. In fact, a lot of people posses more than one credit cards. So, the credit card industry is growing by leaps and bounds.

However, the credit card industry and credit card holders are posed with a big problem called ‘Credit Card Debt’. In order to understand what ‘credit card debt’ actually means, we need to understand the workflow associated with the use of credit cards as such.

Credit cards, as the name suggests, are cards on which you can get credit i. e. make borrowings (your credit card debt). Your credit card is a representative of the credit account that you hold with the credit card supplier. Whatever payments you make using your credit card are actually your borrowings that contribute towards your credit card debt.

Your total credit card debt is the total amount you owe credit card supplier. You must settle your credit card debt on a monthly basis. So, you receive a monthly statement or your credit card bill which shows your total credit card debt. You must pay off your credit card debt by the payment due date failing which you will incur late fee and interest charges.

However, you have the option of making a partial (minimum) payment too, in which case you don’t incur late fee but just the interest charges on your credit card debt. If you don’t pay off your credit card debt in full, the interest charges too get added to it.

So your credit card debt keeps on increasing, more so because the interest rates on credit card debt are generally higher than the interest rates on other kind of loans/borrowings. Further, the interest charges add on to your credit card debt each month to form the new balance or the new credit card debt amount.

If you continue making partial payments (or no payments) the interest charges are calculated afresh on the new credit card debt. So you end up paying interest on the last month’s interest too. Thus your credit card debt accumulates rapidly and soon you find that what was once a relatively small credit card debt has ballooned into a big amount which you find almost impossible to pay.

Moreover, if you don’t still control your spending habits, your credit card debt rises even faster. This is how the vicious circle of credit card debt works.

Two Basic Parts of a Low Cost Web Site Promotion

Anybody could own a web site. Anybody could up sell their own products and services to their target audience. Anyone could try to promote their web site with a low cost. But there are not many web sites that have a truly successful web site with traffic all day through. What these individuals or companies lack is the most essential factor of success – a low cost web site promotion that really works.

If you have been trying to promote your own web site and you have received traffic every hour, my hands are down for you. But for those people who need assistance, who does not have the patience to promote their own product and services, and lacks knowledge to properly advertise themselves, here are some guidelines to help you achieve success with a low cost web site promotion.

Search Engine Submission and Ranking are the two basic parts to a low cost web site promotion. Both of the parts have the same effect on the market of the web site – for your products and services presented in your web site catches the people’s attention.

The first inexpensive method of web site promotion is the search engine submission. This first part is the act filing information and submitting your web site to search engines. There are two types of Search engine submission – manual and automatic. For a low cost and effective web site promotion, automatic submission is ideal because after filling up the information, a software program would forward this information to other search engines.

The second money-saving web site promotion is ranking. This refers to the numerical position in which your web site appears on a search engine, based upon the web site’s criteria. Some search engines rank the order in which your search results appear primarily by how many other web sites link to each page. The leading web sites on this order would eventually fulfill a low cost web site promotion.

Other types of inexpensive web site promotion you could use to boost up traffic on your web site are banner advertising, classified ads, text links and section sponsorship. Banner advertisements pop up above and below web pages, and sometimes in another window. Text links and section sponsorship may cost more, but these methods helps in promoting to your specified target audience. It wouldn’t harm your web site to try these methods.

Always remember that the effects of your not so costly web site promotion hits are increasing significantly each day. Don’t waste time; find an effective and affordable web site promotion of your choice today.

Scientific wealth building secrets - 1 - entropy

This is a series of articles about studying general scientific ideas to create a wealth building system that works according to the laws of the Universe. These concepts come from observing our environment. Scientists have discovered that the laws of nature follow certain patterns. Some physical laws seem to be present everywhere, from the tiny atoms to the enormous stars.

Everything on the physical realm tend to be influenced by these laws, therefore they can be applied to your businesses too as you will see in just a few minutes. The whole series contain the following articles . . .

1. Entropy

2. Life

3. Multiplication

4. Synergism

5. Inertia

6. Gravity

7. Diversification

Entropy also referred to as the second law of thermodynamics is a widely known scientific concept. This law of nature is amazing! It defines important aspects of the world.

The law of entropy establishes that the amount of energy available to perform useful work within a closed system decreases with time. Entropy is a universal tendency in the physical world. All things tend to reduce their amount of overall potential energy. Systems become more disordered, chaotic and disorganized over time.

If I would describe this concept in my own words I would said that everything which possess energy constantly seeks to release that energy. Everything in the physical realm is affected by this law. Things get old, dirty, disorganized, fall apart, break down, etc.

From our point of view, there is a tendency to chaos in the Universe, but if you analyze this further, you realize that this may not be the ultimate truth about entropy. The truth is that energy “seeks” to be released. It constantly “tries” to expand from areas of higher concentration to areas of lower concentration.

For example, you take a gas and compress it within a container. That gas will remain there for as long as the container can keep it compressed. The very second that gas or part of it can escape the container it will do so. Then its atoms or molecules will keep expanding farther away from each other in an increasingly disorganized way. They will move from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration.

The same happens with everything else that have potential energy. If you suspend something on thin air with your hand, the force of gravity will be acting upon it. This object or substance will have potential energy. The second you leave it alone it will fall to the ground. It doesn’t stop there. This object or substance keeps having potential energy. It is made of atoms and molecules which are bound together by chemical forces.

These molecules will tend to fall apart over time. The object or substance will decompose and form simpler bodies or particles. The process will keep on indefinitely. If the substance is a liquid for example, it may evaporate if it is exposed to Sun light. It may become a gas and its molecules can fall apart.

Common sense tells us that energy tend to go from areas of major concentration to areas of minor concentration. It is a pattern. It happens all the time. You rarely see a rock moving upward without apparent reason getting back to the mountain and becoming part of it, which is a most complex system. The opposite happens. The rock separates from the most complex system (the mountain) fall down due to the force of gravity and become part of a simpler system.

The rock particles fall apart over time turning into dust. This is a slow process, but the tendency remains constant. Things tend to become simpler over time. So, the more complex a system is the more energy it will require to keep that level of complexity. Humans, like many other living things are very complex organisms. That’s why we require constant supply of energy to keep ourselves alive.

The energy (food and water) is used to keep our complex system (our bodies) working properly. Even though we may eat all the food we want and drink all the water we want, we still get old and die one day. That’s because many changes occur since a person is born until it gets old and eventually die. The same oxygen that we breathe and which keeps us alive for a long time, produces free radicals and damage our cells.

The food we eat have this characteristics too. Furthermore, there are external changes/mutations that tend to transform the body over time. The same happens with everything else.

If you look at this from a pessimistic perspective you may think that there is a tendency to chaos in the Universe, therefore nature itself is against you. Maybe you struggle every day just to survive and you don’t know why you have so many problems. Why is it so hard to make money? Why can’t life be simpler?

I think that once you understand the universal laws you have a greatest chance to change your life for the better. The way I see it is not that there is a tendency to chaos, but that energy “seeks” to expand and fill more space. This have been happening since the big bang. Galaxies today are still expanding and moving apart from each other at very fast speeds.

Some scientist believe that the Universe will reach a point of simplicity where only lose atoms will exist and all matter will be simpler and colder. They do not take into consideration the obstructions to the second law of thermodynamics. These so called obstructions make life possible. There is something within living things that do not exist in non-living bodies, it is the genes.

Genes are biological information. They tell cells how to behave. They define the biological processes of a living organism among other things. Genes make animals and plants behave in a different way. Most living things get energy from areas of lower concentration to maintain and sustain their complex systems, they evolve over time becoming more complex and they add value to their own life (system) plus the life of others and the environment (other systems).

Then a living organism is the best example of an obstruction to the second law of thermodynamics, but there are many others. The overall tendency is for everything to fall apart and become simpler, but it takes time for it to happen. Furthermore, these obstructions complicate the process.

Living organisms are not the only ones who obstruct the second law of thermodynamics. For example the most abundant element in the universe is hydrogen. Stars like our Sun “create” energy through nuclear fusion.

Energy can not be created, but within a fusion reaction (when two atoms are fused together) much more energy is produced in the form of heat than the energy required to fuse those atoms together. This creates self sustaining reactions within the interior of stars. Nuclear fusion produces huge quantities of energy. Furthermore, lightest elements are transformed into heavier elements this way.

This is another example of obstructions to the second law of thermodynamics. There are many others, but the overall tendency is for everything to grow, expand and become simpler.

Now, the important part of this article. How do you apply all this knowledge to making money and acquiring more wealth? What does all of this has to do with businesses and financial prosperity?

I believe that it is closely related to it. I see it everyday in my businesses. I see in other enterprises as well. Some people obey this law instinctively while others do it consciously. I will show you now how this law of nature have a lot to do with businesses and making money.

The first application that we can extract from it is that there are not free lunches. Inventors tried to create an over unity machine for centuries. The idea was to make a machine that recycled its own energy or which output energy would be bigger than its input energy. The device should allow people to then connect the output to the input and have the machine work indefinitely and produce useful work at the same time.

Some people still try to accomplish this today. If you understand well the concept of entropy you can realize why none of his machines will ever work. You can not create energy and there are no free lunches.

How does this applies to business? It applies in the following way. Most people become rich by adding value to the lives of others in some way. They may create a new technology that didn’t exist before. They may improve an existent product and make it better, etc.

You can not create matter, but you can change matter in such a way that it becomes more useful to others and to yourself. The problem is that when you discover a way to make things more effectively others will try to copy your technique. You will face competition.

If something makes money, other people will try to do it as well. That’s for sure. A few years after you make your discovery, invention, etc; you will probably have several competitors. Of course you can get a patent, but they will try to design around that. They may even make you an offer if they perceive you are a potential danger/competitor to their business.

Now, remember something. Everybody tries to get more than they give, even if they don’t notice it. People since they are born are tired of observing how they have to always put more energy into something, than the apparent benefit they get from that thing compared to their efforts. Let me explain.

People complain about the high gas prices, car insurance, taxes, paying a mortgage and being in debt. People perceive that their efforts surpasses the benefits. They may be right in many aspects. That’s how the world works. Some of the energy is always spent/loss in unproductive work.

That’s why people love to receive free stuff, but there is nothing completely free, there is always a catch. When you do receive something free it means that someone else paid the price for you, but there is always a price to be paid. Whether you pay the price yourself or someone else pays the price and give it to you as a gift, that’s optional. The point is that someone, somewhere, somehow had to pay the price, even if you can’t see it.

Now, let’s get back to business. It would be great to find a way to make a lot of free and easy money without having to exert any effort at all to get it. Wouldn’t that be nice? On the other hand, we live in a different world. It is often easy to lose/spend money and usually hard to get it.

That’s why people will give you their money only when they perceive that you are offering them something which exceeds in use value the amount of money that they are giving you for it. Did you understand that one right? People in general want to get more than they give. It is a natural human tendency. This is one of the reasons why many business people get frustrated.

An exchange happen when the buyer feels hat he is getting more than he is paying for and the seller feels that he is getting more than what he is selling. This leads to lots of fraud in today’s society from both buyers and sellers. The truth though is that you don’t have to deceive nor beat up anybody in business.

Then how can you give people something that exceeds in use value what they are giving you in cash value without deceiving or stealing from them? Furthermore, how can you be happy about the transaction and feel that you are getting a higher value too? The answer is Leverage. This is a concept that I explain under Synergism in one of my other articles on this series.

Leverage multiplies your efforts. Leverage can be a machine, system, technique anything that helps you make more with less. If you use leverage you can give people what they strive for and become rich at the same time. You can make more money with less work.

The most effective leverage is that which obeys the physical laws. Let me give you a few examples so you get an idea of how it works. Imagine that you want to make money on the Internet. You want to start an online business. You think that one of the most profitable products you can sell is information.

So, you write an e-book and try to sell it from your website. Now, how are people going to know that you exist. You may invest in advertising, but that could be quiet expensive. There is simply too much competition in this field! Then what you do about it is to use leverage by giving people things for free and allowing them to give them away for free to others as well.

You give away free content in exchange of free traffic. Remember you will have to put in more energy than you expect to get, but by using leverage you multiply the results that you receive from your efforts many times over. Leverage works in the business world like nuclear fusion works in the physical world. You still need to realize some efforts like you still need to fuse hydrogen atoms together if you want to receive huge results.

The difference is that you can be very effective by doing this. For example, you can write articles and let other people use them with the condition that they post a link to your website at the bottom of each article. You can also write an e-book and give it away for free with your affiliate links on it. People get to read the e-book for free and you get to have all the affiliate links seen by thousands of individuals all over the Internet. Whenever someone purchases something from those links, you get paid a commission.

This is an example of how to use the second law of thermodynamics to your advantage. If you give people something useful (information is very useful) and allow them to share it, they will probably share it. If you use that gift as a backdoor to your products and services your profits may increase exponentially over time.

Those articles can spread out all over the Internet. You make an effort once and benefit many times. Furthermore, you can write often, to gradually increase your exposure. Another method you can use is to join an affiliate program and offer a commission to anyone who sell your products. Also you can offer a preview version of the product that you are selling.

You can offer a newsletter to grab the e-mail address of your prospects and follow up with them. Most Internet sales today are generated through opting e-mail marketing. Remember that 98% of people who visit your website won’t purchase your products on the first visit. On the other hand, if you follow up with them for several days or weeks, then your sales will increase.

You can do this automatically. You can use an autoresponder. This is another way to use leverage to your advantage. The autoresponder will send the messages for you automatically. Once you program it, the program will take care of the work involved.

These are just basic examples of how you can apply scientific laws to your businesses and become more profitable. On this article I shared information with you about entropy and a little bit about leverage. You can learn about other physical laws and their applications to wealth building techniques from my other articles.

Father s day steak tips for cooking a mouth-watering steak

It's a trite, but often repeated saying: The way to a man's heart is through his stomach. So why, when Father's Day rolls around, do we buy endless ties and "message" T shirts? Is the way to his heart through his clothes? Not likely. It's the stomach, people, and that means good food. For many men, good food comes in the form of a great steak.

So what if you're not a steak eater, or you eat it only in restaurants and the thought of purchasing a raw slab scares you to death? Fear not. It's not that complicated, really. Even a caveman can handle this job.

It's important to know your cuts of meat before planning the menu. You don't want to cook the dad in your life a tasteless, tough piece of leather. You might not notice the difference, but let's face it - he will. Since you'll likely be grilling, it's important to know the best cuts of meat for the grill.

You want to choose the most tender portions of meat for grilling. Experts generally consider these cuts of beef to be the best for grilling:

- Rib Eye

- T-Bone

- Porterhouse

- Strip steak (like New York steak)

If there is the word "loin" on the package, you're in good shape, though most grill experts agree the T-bone is the most superior cut of beef for grilling. It stays tender and juicy, and is thick enough to withstand a fair amount of time on the grill without overcooking. Stay away from top round or anything with "round" or "chuck" in the name. These will not cook well on the grill. Flank steak and London broil can also be tough.

Next, it's important to know how to choose a steak. Don't just grab the first package that looks good to you. Look for some good marbling in the steak. Yes, this is another word for fat. But we're not cooking for the dieter in the family on this special day, we're trying to give dad a good steak, remember? Those little bits of fat scattered about the steak will essentially melt while the meat is cooking, giving the meat a rich and more tender flavor.

In that same vein, don't trim the fat from your steak before cooking. It might be the diet book author in you coming out, but that thick layer of fat around your steak is what will give the steak a wonderful juicy quality and rich flavor. You can cook the steak, and then trim the fat, but cook the steak while it's still dressed in its fat clothes. It's worth it.

Do you need to buy a "name brand" steak? Experts say it's not necessary, even though branded meat is a new commodity and becoming more widely available. Nor is it necessary to choose a steak from a butcher shop or from behind the glass window in the meat department at your local grocery store. Usually the pre-packaged steaks are the same you would get from behind the glass, and since the butcher is a dying breed, you could certainly go that route if you have a neighborhood butcher, but if not, a good quality grocery store will provide what you need.

Finally, it's important to know your grades of steak.

- Prime is the top grade, and it features the most marbling and is the most tender, but most of us don't have access to this grade in mainstream grocery stores. This is often what you get in a restaurant.

- Choice is the best grade most of us can get in the grocery store. But choice does not guarantee high quality as this grade encompasses meat that can be almost as good as prime, or almost as bad as select, our next grade.

- Select beef is the most lean and least expensive beef and is the grade of beef most commonly found in your grocery store meat case. Since this is Father's Day, try to find choice and splurge a little.

If you are unsure about your ability to pick up a good steak locally, consider ordering online and having fresh, high-quality steaks delivered to your door.

At OmahaSteaks. com, you can buy a large variety pack of meat, grill some for dad, and then send him home with a few spares for another day. KansasCitySteaks. com offers prime quality steaks for a restaurant-quality dad's meal.

How to activate your affluence

My belief is that we create our own destiny. The lives we have are the lives we have made for ourselves--good or bad.

My students in MAXpersuasion are either living the good life or on their way to it because as we expand our universes we get exactly what we want out of life.

I've been thinking about the concept of affluence lately--from principles to thoughts to action to the realization of it.

If you really want to realize your dreams, and I assume you do, then installing an affluent mindset and affluent thought processes will help you on this path. These are strategies of the world's wealthiest people.

Why is Bill Gates wealthier than you?

More than a mindset, I'm talking about foundational principles and core strategies of wealth. This is a result of programming and teaching ourselves at the level of our other than conscious minds and it's a phenomenal tool.

You most probably have a good sense of yourself and what you want in life. It's possible that you've gained some insight from mapping out your universes--personal, business, private--and understanding your values and criteria on a profound and thoughtful level. These provide the drive it takes to succeed.

One of the many lessons I learned from my dad was that if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.

This isn't new information obviously. I have benefited from it immeasurably.

If we were to follow some of the wealthiest people in the world for a day, a day in the life, so to speak, we might feel like they were working from the time they woke up until the time they slept. It might be downright exhausting to do this, to try to keep up.

Why is this? Well, our their dreams, what they most desire in life, is not the same as our dreams and what we most desire.

Turn the tables and have them follow you around for a day. And assuming you are lit on fire about what you do, manifesting what you want, having the experience of your criteria being met, and having your wealth and success at the level of your desire, they would most likely be exhausted too.

The fuel for this fire is really understanding who you are and what you want. Clarity. The clearer the image of your heart's desire and life's desire, the clearer your ability will be to create it. This fire will burn hot and bright.

Stepping into the mindset of millionaires and billionaires is where we're headed with this. You can create the same results with intention and expectation.

My early training in neuro linguistic programming had a saying, "If it's possible in the world, it's possible for me. It's only a matter of how."

There was always a smart aleck in the back of the room that had to confront the trainer and say, "So are you telling me a paraplegic has the same ability as an Olympic athlete?" No. That's absolutely not what's being said here.

Here's what's being said: If it is possible for other humans who are of roughly the same capacity as you, it is possible for you. There is nothing inherently 'better' about Bill Gates and yet I hazard to say he's wealthier than you (and me), at least for the time being.

Why? Maybe it's luck. Sure. It could be. It could be he was in the right place at the right time.

But that's not really enough. I love the saying, "I'm a great believer in luck. And I find the harder I work, the more of it I have."

Where inspiration and perspiration meet, that's where magic happens.

However, you can't have one side without the other. It's not enough to have the the thoughts without the work/action/doing.

Discover more about credit card debt consolidation

A credit card consolidation program is an attempt to help you improve your credit history. The repayments you make on your earlier debts determine your credit worthiness. It is also an indicator of the willingness and affordability of an individual to the lenders who decide the credit limit they'll make available.

Poor credit history has many repercussions for borrowers. However, a poor credit rating can be reversed with a few timely repayments. The best way to be in the good books of lenders is to regularly pay bills on time and not accumulate more debt. If your credit scores are not so perfect and you already have a bad rating from the credit bureaux then it will take effort, time and patience to turn them around into good credit scores.

BEWARE. A credit card consolidation company can also ruin your credit, and make your situation ten times worse.

- They may not make your payments to your creditors on time;

- They may charge high fees;

- The fact you're using one will show up on your credit record, and

- Using one may leave you feeling you can now run up MORE debt, with impunity.

There are many private counselling services available that can help you to know exactly where you stand and how much effort you need to put in to be on the credit performance track. You can join such a program to make informed choice about your debt solutions.

These credit repair services also negotiate with the lending agencies for a more convenient repayment schedule to help you with better management of your finances. A credit card consolidation service also empowers you to negotiate for the type of report the agencies will send to the credit bureaus.

Credit bureaus are key players in deciding your credit scores and preparing a report based on the scores. Creditors access their reports when you apply for any kind of loan. Obtain a copy of your credit report from the bureau and check for errors and mistakes. A monthly free copy of said report also helps you to be on the performance track.

Various credit card companies offer consolidation programs to individuals who have just started their financial career, like students. Such individuals fall into the debt trap easily without proper guidance or experience of money management. If you are not sure about opting for credit card debt consolidation, then just log on to the net and fill up the prequalification forms available at multiple websites. This hardly takes a few minutes. In exchange, you will receive quotes from various companies and can compare them for the most affordable options available.

Want advice? Go to the Consumer Credit Counselling Service http://www. cccs. co. uk; they are truly independent. The rest are touts for private debt management agencies.

Developmental stages is your baby on track

When you’re a first time Mother, you’re always worried about your baby’s development. Sometimes, we get downright obsessed with knowing when our child will sit up, crawl, walk and talk. And, if they’re one week later than we think they should be, we’re concerned that something’s wrong. Well, here’s the scoop on approximately when the big milestones take place. Remember, each baby is different. If you think your baby is not progressing as he should, speak with your pediatrician.

· First Smile – The first real smile (meaning in response to your smile or some other external social stimulation) usually happens around four to six weeks. Babies do smile earlier than this, though. They often smile as they are falling asleep, and yes, when they have gas.

· First Tooth - Timing of that first tooth can vary widely. If you can find out when you and your husband first popped a pearly white, you’ll have a better idea as to when to expect your baby’s, as it is largely hereditary. Teeth can show up as early as three months, and as late as after the first birthday, but the average is about seven months.

· Sitting Up – This one can happen as early as four months, though for most babies about six months is average. If your baby has not accomplished this milestone by seven or eight months, you might mention it to your doctor.

· Standing Unsupported. Your baby will be able to bear weight on his legs with you holding his arms by age five or six months, usually. But standing unsupported may not happen until nearly a year old, though some babies accomplish this at around nine months. It takes a while for those legs to get strong, and for the balance to be there.

· Saying Mama or Dada – By this I mean actually using Mama to refer to you or Dada to refer to his father – not just making the sound. This can happen as early as 10 months, but happens most often at around a year old. Get used to it, he’s probably going to say Dada first – it’s just easier for babies to say.

· Crawling – Some babies never crawl, which, by the way, is completely normal. But most babies who crawl do so between seven and nine months, with some starting as early as six months. Time to plug up those electrical outlets!

· Walking – Most babies walk between the ages of 13 and 15 months, though many start as early as nine months. Don’t be in too much of a hurry for this one, as your whole life changes once that baby starts to walk!

Again, all of the times I mentioned above are estimates about when these milestones occur. If your baby is attending regular well baby checkups, your pediatrician will be monitoring his progress, and will alert you if there is any need to be concerned.

The importance of a reliable home security system

We live in a very insecure world, dominated by robbery and crime. Due to the pronounced differences between the classes of society, cultural conflicts and various other factors, worldwide crime rates have known an exacerbated increase in the last decades, rendering modern society a very unstable and unsafe environment. Every day we hear about all sorts of crimes, robberies and thefts, making us doubt the safety of our homes, possessions and even our lives!

People are feeling more and more insecure inside their homes these days and they reinforce their doors and windows, install extra door locks, and even buy guard dogs to provide them protection. However, it is very important to note that experienced robbers can easily break through to a wide range of home defenses, the previously mentioned precautions only providing a false sense of security. In addition, recently conducted research has revealed that most burglaries and robberies take place while the owners are at home, exposing the home owners and their families to a serious risk!

In present, the only effective means to protect your home against robbers is to install a reliable home security system. Only after you have equipped your home with an efficient alarm system you can actually feel 100 percent safe inside your home. A house equipped with a modern, solid security system is definitely not an easy target for robbers. Even the most experienced robbers will think twice before breaking inside a house equipped with a modern security system. However, even if they break inside a house with a security system installed, robbers will trigger the alarm, alerting the local monitoring station and the police.

As soon as you order a home security system, a team will promptly deliver and install it for you. Home security systems are easy to use, allowing users to control a series of features via keypad. The security system is password-protected, requiring you to type in the previously established password before you can change the settings of the alarm system. After you have typed in your password, you can easily arm or disarm the alarm system, or change various specific settings. Once armed, the alarm will be triggered by any attempt of breaching inside the house. In order to ensure that your home is effectively protected, you should install motion detectors to every door and window of your house.

Home security systems are monitored non-stop by a local monitoring station. When the alarmed is triggered, the security system will promptly signal the monitoring station and you will be immediately contacted on the phone by a member of the security team, in order to confirm whether your house has been breached or the signal has been triggered by accident. If you don’t answer the phone or give the incorrect password, the monitoring station will quickly alert the police.

A reliable home security system is a very effective means of protecting your home. As soon as you equip your house with a modern, effective security system, you are guaranteed maximum protection and ongoing monitoring for your home.

Weight loss diary 11

From March 11 thru 17

Back to reality this week with the shock news that my weight did not go down enough to report; probably no more than a few ounces (around 50 grams). Hence I’m sad to report that my weight still stands at 188 pounds (93 kilos). I guess I became a little too complacent after the better than expected results of the previous few weeks. This raises the big question of who, or what, is to blame?

As I live by the rule that I am responsible for all that goes wrong, as well as all that goes right, in my life then it stands to reason that I am to blame. Because I am to blame for a poor week then I know that it is within my power to turn that around in the coming week. That’s the great thing about accepting responsibility – you can always turn things around. People that avoid responsibility rarely turn things around.

So what happened to the positive momentum? Without using this as an excuse I have suffered a slight cold for the past week and have not been exercising at the rate I have become used to. Exercise has been a major part of my calorie burn-off routine. This has been offset slightly by the fact that whilst feeling unwell I haven’t eaten as much either. Probably this explains why my weight has remained the same rather than increasing; my calorie intake has been lower and I guess I reached the perfect balance of weight neutrality this week. That’s fine when my weight is where I want it to be but right now I still need to lose 8 pounds (3.9 kilos) to reach my target weight.

In this coming week I will not attempt to lose more than my target 1 pound (450 grams) because when you start playing catch up it throws the entire routine and places you under greater pressure. Psychologically it is better to accept that I did not reach my target last week and move on.

This week nothing will change, my target is one pound, my exercise sessions will still be three per week and I will still strive to put more aerobic action into my normal day.

Facts to consider before going world wide

Many business people dream of trading the world wide marketplace because it has the potential to provide them with increased profits through reaching a larger number of customers.

There are many issues you need to consider before going world wide because the business rules differ from country to country. And if you do manage to get past the trade barriers such as the tariffs and quotas that is set up by the government to protect their domestic markets, you still have to deal with the customers themselves before your products will be bought. Also in addition to this, here are some of the most important factors you need to consider if you want to have a global reach for your business.

The Culture.

Every country has its own well established culture that makes it unique from other countries. You need to know the local culture even before you can promote your product effectively in the business environment.

The Laws.

Countries do have different laws that govern business practices, so what may be considered legal to one country may not necessarily mean that this same practice is legal in another. It is therefore important for you to consult with local lawyers and accountants regarding the laws in their particular country.

The Promotions.

Aside from the fact that you need to be sensitive to the taste and preference of the local market and be careful on the promotions that you do as not to offend them, you also need to be flexible to follow government regulations. For example, there are countries that do not put a limit on the amount of money that can be won by a local resident when a particular company holds a contest. However, in some counties the amount of earnings can be restricted so you need to know about these rules and requirements even before you start your promotional strategies.

The Locality.

You should note that there are countries that have different government rules according to region. You need to be cautious in making different promotions and activities in different regions in a new territory because a practice that may be permitted in one area doesn’t necessarily mean that it will likewise be acceptable in another area even though it is in the same country.

The Budget.

Trying to penetrating another country may cost more than you are expecting because of the different legalities you have to deal with. At the start of your operations, you should also expect to encounter a lot of challenges because you are just starting to make your presence felt in a new territory.

Overall though, going world wide is certainly a worthwhile experience for any business despite the challenges it presents because it offers you a chance to make your business become more popular and more profitable.

Learn tennis

Some would say the aim of the game is to win a match. But others would say the real aim of this game is to have fun in the sun! My aim here is to show you the fundamentals if you are new to it.

Fundamentally Speaking

Once on the court you want to hit the ball into your opponent's court until they cannot return it (as you've probably guessed). But to win a game you must score two points more. This makes for no such thing as a really close game. Thankfully, picking up a racquet, a can of balls and a pair of tennis shoes (those that don't leave marks on the concrete from the soles) are all you need to try it out.

In this sport serious injury is almost nonexistent, locations to play are often at your local park or school and, with only two players needed to get a game going, you're all set. Speaking of sets....those are what you need to win the match. The match is the "ultimate goal". It is determined by who wins the most sets. Pay attention to the numbers here. The player winning the first 2 sets takes the match. Or the player winning 2 of 3 sets takes the match. Did I mention the player winning 6 games in a set takes that set? Nobody said winning comes quickly! After all, a Wimbledon final isn't afternoon tea and crumpets.

When you first learn to hit the ball--called a stroke or swing--there are two main aspects.

1. Rally using a groundstroke. It's common practice to improve your skill at this using drills, no matter what your level. The challenge for you when using your groundstroke is to place the ball toward the back of the court-- that is where the baseline is--without overhitting the shot. Equally as challenging is to place your shot in the forecourt--closer to the net. The forehand and backhand are the two different groundstrokes. As you perform these swings you develop the habit of rotating back the shoulder holding the racquet; so your racquet starts out well behind you before you contact the ball. Just as important is to keep pushing your racquet forward after hitting the ball.

2. Landing a serve in the crosscourt service box is the goal of serving. The serve is important because it is used to start every point, and not landing serves can cause you to lose games. Receiving serves has strategy too. You'll learn to hit using a full swing from starting with your racquet in front of you and going around 360 degrees, the proper grip, the best stance, and even the toss.

No matter where the ball lands on your side you must cover the court. Footwork and the ability to stay alert and move in quickly come into play here. As a beginner you won't concern yourself with spin or playing the net. You're doing well if you learn directional control, placing the ball in a certain part of the court--you know, that sweet place where your opponent is not!

When you play a point the ball can bounce only once at most. That's why you see players rushing to get the ball. Calling the lines is your responsibility if the ball is on your side. Touching a boundary line makes the ball good. Scoring proceeds like this: At the start it is "love-love"; next point is 15; next is 30; next is 40; next is game won or "add" for the player ahead by a point.

When you take lessons you will learn by demonstration and practice. You will also learn insider lingo such as: "Put away a lob.", "slice serve" and "racquet high in the sky". A knowledgeable teacher can teach you many sound techniques. Remember to win with class and lose with dignity....I just had to toss that in there too!

Speaking the Language

Here is a rundown of common terms:

Game: Player must score at least 4 points. If the other player scores as well then whoever scores 2 points more (the 4 point minimum still holds) wins that game.

Serve: Two attempts to land the ball in the service box are given. There is, however, no penalty in using both attempts to serve it successfully. The point is lost if unsuccessful.

Let: This happens only during a serve when the ball touches the net, but still lands in the service box. The serve is repeated.

Alley: The court is has two lines forming the left and right boundaries. The inside lines form the boundary for singles play. The outside lines form the boundary for doubles play. The space between each is the alley.

Out: A ball landing outside the court boundaries; or, on the serve, outside the service box.

Deuce: A tied score at 40-40. A tense moment for both players!

Guide to real estate finance in uk

It is real estate market, which has perhaps never witnessed any recession or stagnation. It is this sector, which has ever been prospering. And, needless to say that it is one of the best investment options.

However, it is not everyone’s cup of tea. Since it requires huge money, not all of us have that. When this is the case, it is this time when you need a real estate loan. And, taking a rescue to Internet can save you many things.

Since a real estate loan means huge money, you need to prove your credibility. If you have something to offer as collateral, the chances of securing a favourable deal improve grandly. This may also help you get a handsome rate of interest and a longer term.

Securing a real estate loan depends on three factors, credit history, repayment capacity and potentiality of the business you are going to start. If the three factors are in your favour, you will get a loan easy and fast. If they are not however, you may face some uneasiness.

Apart from credit history, repayment capacity and potentiality of business, there is one more entity, which affects the prospects of getting a real estate loan. It is the size of the property you wish to purchase or take on lease. Real estate properties can broadly be divided into three types: Class A, Class B and Class C.

A Class A property means a larger premier building with a high-profile location that is easily accessed. A Class A building has on-site management, an impressive lobby and amenities. A Class B building generally has good location, professional management and some amenities. Whereas a Class C space is no-frills. It is usually found in older buildings or converted industrial buildings, without lobbies or amenities

Once you have narrowed down your needs, you can start shopping around for a commercial real estate broker. However, you should not just take out the phonebook and start making calls. It would be a better idea to ask for recommendations from others, who have taken such a loan or leased their office space etc. People like Commercial real estate lawyers, bankers and architects, who work with commercial brokers can be a great help. You may also like to contact professional commercial real estate associations, which require its members to meet certain standards, for a list of brokers in your area.

Car loan application

When it comes to the car loan application, you will find that not only will you have to wait some time to be approved, but also you will want to take at least an hour at the dealership The difference between filing and application online and at the dealership is just in time. It's about the same questions, but you can do it in the convenience of your own home. You will be able to get a car loan application at the dealership in the morning, and then fill out all the paper work during the day.

You can then take it back to the dealership after work or just later in the day. This way you can get everything you need to without spending hours at the dealership. That is a few ways that you can save some time on the car loan application, but why does it take so long at the dealer?

Well, first, it takes them an hour to assess what your current trade in is worth. You will hang out in the lobby and they will start some of the paper work for you. Then you sit some more so that they can clean your car out and take your keys. You may also wait some long for the paper work to go through, and then you realize that once you can leave, it's been three or even five hours. It takes a lot to be able to purchase a car and then drove off with it. Some of the time you do not have everything or come unprepared to purchase and the timing of your wait is even more of a hassle because you have to go home or come back later. But, as for the car loan application, there are certain things that you need to fill out.

You will need to fill out all your location information. Then you will need to state whose names go on the title. Sometimes there is only one or you may include your mate on the title. Then you have to gather your driver's license and insurance information. Some states require you to have insurance and some don't. For you to drive off the lot, you have to have insurance in most states. However, you need to know your laws. If you are caught driving without insurance, you're in a lot of trouble, but it's not a requirement for all states to show proof before purchase.

Then you fill out all your loan options. They will tell you who you are filling with and the rates and they will make up all the number so that you don't. Then you fill out whose paying for it and any co-signers. When you sign the contract, it is binding. If you sign your name you just bought yourself a car, so you may sure you can follow through with the payments. There are no returns on cars.
